Gifford and Joubert released

News release
Immediate past President of the Commercial Farmers’ Union Mr Trevor Gifford and fellow Chipinge farmer Mr Dawie Joubert appeared in the Mutare Magistrate being charged with the following:
  • Contempt of Court
  • Obstruction of Court official
  • Taking photographs in a public place
When bail application was made the prosecutor proposed a USD 1000 deposit and various travel restrictions.
However, the magistrate agreed to a USD 200 bail payment with the condition that the two reside on their own properties in their homes. They were also instructed to report to CID on the 15th February 2010.
They were both then released and thank everyone for their support and prayers.
