Commercial Farmers' Union of Zimbabwe
As the CFU, we offer advice to member farmers whenever they need it. Interpreting the laws that govern employment and workforce matters can often be complex and time‑consuming. Our role is to help farmers understand these regulations and apply them correctly.
At times, employment legislation — including labour law — may be amended. CFU ensures members are alerted to the latest changes and what those updates mean for their operations.
Some of the services we provide to CFU members include:
1. Drafting contracts of employment.
2. Drafting letters of termination of employment and memorandum of termination agreements.
3. Give updates of applicable wages in the different sub-sectors.
4. Drafting letters in response to queries by Trade Unions.
5. Giving guidance on the statutory payments that farmers/employers need to make to the relevant government departments.
6. Assist farmers solve labour related disputes that arise on the farm between the farmer and the employees.
7. Help interpret the provisions in the relevant legislation like the Labour Act, Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).
