STOCKFEED companies in Manicaland have recorded a boom in feeds sales, thanks to the large number of farmers taking up Government’s Command lLvestock programme in the province.

In an interview with The Herald at the just-ended Manicaland Agricultural Show, Grain Marketing Board (GMB) technical sales representative, Mr Partson Makamba, said theparastatal had been recording high sales of beef feed in the province since the inception of the   Command Livestock programme.

“Farmers are showing a huge interest in the programme and we have been getting an overwhelming response from the farmers who are using beef feed,” he said

Feedmix technical sales representative Mr Fast Muronzi said his company had also seen an increase in sales mostly in Mutare and Chipinge  districts.

“We also aim to sell our new product line, Beef Feed, which has already received a positive response in Chipinge and Mutare districts,” he said.
