CFU Membership Form 2020/2021

Apologies again for the delays and false starts with the issuing of membership cards. Our card printer needs an unaffordable replacement so instead we are outsourcing the printing at a very low cost. Those requiring membership cards should therefore please keep in touch with Mary – [email protected] .

Licence fees for the period 2020/2021 which starts on 1 October 2020 was set at Congress on 22nd  October 2020. The resolution was as follows:

Council further resolves and recommends to Congress the adoption of a payment commencing 01 October 2020 and ending 30th September, 2021 applicable to all members as illustrated in the following schedule:

MEDIUM OPERATING LICENSE US$1000 per annum or US$100 per month
STANDARD OPERATING LICENSE US$500 per annum or US$50 per month
ARAC SINGLE TITLE LICENSE US$100
ARAC MULTIPLE TITLE LICENSE US$200
CORPORATE (BUSINESS) MEMBERS US$2000 per annum or US$200 per month
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS US$500 per annum

NB: RTGS rates will be available from the office on enquiry

  • Large operating license turnover greater than US$ 1million
  • Medium operating license turnover between US$500 000 and US$1million
  • Standard operating license turnover up to US$500 000
  • Multiple site operators to be treated according to size of each operation

Due to the current inflationary environment, the US$ – ZWL value will be adjusted as necessary to maintain the real value of the CFU license fees. A payment plan can be arranged/discussed with the Director of CFU.

Please note that CFU does not have a tax clearance certificate (ITF 263) as CFU Membership subscriptions are not deemed to be earned income and therefore fall outside the Income Tax Act.

Provision has been made for those living outside Zimbabwe to transfer their Subs electronically.

For those Former Farmers living in the UK or S Africa we recommend they download and register on the MUKURU money transfer App and send their subs to J R P Ashton Id No 70 066613 L 00 using Mobile No +263 772 308 244 (Patrick Ashton has been duly authorised by CFU council on 22nd Sept 20 to act as the conduit to receive these subs for onward transmission to a CFU safe holding.

This app charges about 6% as a transfer charge and USD Cash can be collected by J R P Ashton and Andy Pascoe in Harare from their offices.

For those Former Farmers living in elsewhere (Especially USA, Aus, NZ or France, we recommend they download and register on the WORLD REMIT money transfer App and send their subs to J R P Ashton Id No 70 066613 L 00 using Mobile No +263 772 308 244 (Patrick Ashton has been duly authorised by CFU council on 22nd Sept 20 to act as the conduit to receive these subs for onward transmission to a CFU safe holding.

It would also assist us greatly in updating your personal records if you would kindly download the form on the link Membership Form 2020/2021 fill it in and return it with your payment. In cases where members are deceased, we also need to know the family members, or trustees, or executors are.

Please note that we have finally been granted a Merchant Code on EcoCash for your convenience. But please remember, like with any bank transfers you follow this up with an email to [email protected] with the details of your payment. Billy Mitchell of quality butchery, Billy’s Meats has very kindly made the generous offer to all CFU paid up members who, on the production of their membership card, would receive 5% discount on their purchases. Please note that this does not include pensioners as they get a 10% discount already. Perhaps Billy gives himself a 5% discount too because he has already paid up.

Tobacco and crop contractors

Please liaise with your contractors to include your CFU subscription in your budgets so that they can possibly pay us on your behalf. Please also notify us when such arrangements have been made.
