This year’s exposition runs from Thursday until Saturday under the theme Promoting Agricultural, Mining and Industrial Productivity in Line with ZimAsset.
Show society chairperson Gift Banda told NewsDay yesterday that all was set for the annual event.
“Despite the depressed economic activity, the response by exhibitors has been encouraging although we had expected more participants, especially from the mining sector considering Kadoma is primarily a gold mining city,” Banda, who is also director of Rig Rog Engineering, said.
“Participants are already busy decorating their stands while as a society we have put all necessary logistics to ensure the successful hosting of the show.”
He said a number of companies had closed in Kadoma and envisaged the event would bring together potential investors to resuscitate the redundant firms. Among the participants would be a Zambian fertiliser manufacturer, big corporates, local small-scale and medium enterprises showcasing their goods and services while communal farmers will put on display various farm produce.
A business conference for captains of industry and businesspeople will be held on Friday, running concurrently with the show.
When NewsDay toured the venue yesterday exhibitors were busy putting final touches to their stands in preparation for the annual showcase.
