15. Payments for repairs and maintenance etc. for all properties.
16. Monthly payments to City of Harare, Zesa, Tel-One, NSSA and Zimra Withholding Tax returns etc. on due date.
17. Monthly schedules of receipts.
18. Count and check Plaza cash on a weekly basis.
19. Printing of pay slips for workers at Avondale Holdings and Director’s and packing wages.

The President and Staff of the Commercial Farmers’ Union are saddened by the news of the passing of Petros Botha formerly of Beatrice.  He passed away peacefully on 11 January in hospital following a stroke.

We pass our sincere condolences on this sad loss to Marie and families and pray that the dear Lord be with them all during this difficult time.

May his dear soul rest in peace.

Suddenly passed away on Thursday 13 January in Harare.  Ex Macheke commercial farmer with a passion for the land.

Loving Husband to Pam and Devoted Father of Douglas and Ashleigh, Leigh and Simon and Philip and Susie, and Special Grandfather to Paula, Daniel, Kendal, Tyla, Oliver, Sophie, John and Zoe.

John was loved and cherished by us all, he will be sorely missed.

The memorial service took place on Tuesday 18 January.

TARIRO HOSTEL

In 1974 the Harare Branch Council of the Cancer Association of Zimbabwe founded by Tariro (Zororo) Hostel which is situated on the grounds of Harare Central Hospital and caters for 40 patients.  The hostel provided a home, free of charge to cancer patients from the rural areas whilst they were having radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments at Parirenyatwa Radiotherapy Department.  Patients stayed at Tariro for a period of 4 to 8 weeks.

Unfortunately, this service was suspended in 2007 due to financial problems.  However, the Harare Cancer Association would like to resuscitate Tariro Hostel and is appealing for donations whether in cash or kind for the following items:-

* Spoons
* Transport Services to transport patients from Harare Hospital to Parirenyatwa Hospital and back to Harare Hospital

The Discounters Club of Zimbabwe has been established and had its official opening on the 30 November 2010.
