Death Notice
It is with deep sadness that we note the passing of Delarey Beyers Fourie (“Rykie”) Geldenhuys in Lichtenberg South Africa.
Prior to his death he was the oldest of the original owners of farms in the Mateke Hills area of Mwenezi. His personal contribution to the development of the cattle industry in Zimbabwe was enormous and at one time he was the owner of one of the largest private herds in the Mwenezi district, second only to Nuanetsi Ranch. His family still run some of his much downsized herd on a small portion of their once extensive land holdings in the area.
He will be sadly missed and certainly not forgotten.
Sincere condolences to Merina, Derick and the family, including grand children and great-grand children. May the Lord be with them and may his dear soul rest in peace.

Condolence
Our sincere condolences go to Molly, Gary and Theresa and Shane, and all the grandchildren, on the passing of Lowveld pioneer Tommy Warth. May the Lord be with them all in this difficult time. May his dear soul rest in peace. He will long be remembered.
Tommy passed away on Saturday morning after having been bed ridden for quite a few months now, a great relief for him. He will be buried on the farm on Thursday in a private family ceremony.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, 7th November at the Church of Christ in Chiredzi for him at 10am.

The President and Council of the Commercial Farmers’ Union send their deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of Stan Sheppard on their recent loss. Stan passed away peacefully over the weekend following a short illness.

Stan was a quiet ‘background’ member of the Union for many years being a farmer in his own right – but he will be best remembered by farmers and the agricultural research community for his boundless knowledge and practical advice as a weed scientist, of which he gave freely. He was a devoted member of Windmill’s research staff, and was a very popular ‘father-figure’ to their team.

he will be very deeply missed by all his many, many friends. may the Dear Lord be with him and his family during this difficult time and may his dear soul rest in peace.
