Harare Agri Show Preps Underway
THE 105th edition of the Harare Agricultural Show will be held from August 24 to 29, 2015 under the theme: Enhancing Agricultural Productivity: Managing Climate Change, Enhancing Agricultural Productivity: Managing Climate Change.
The Harare Agricultural Show is Zimbabwe’s biggest agricultural business exhibition which runs every year. The exhibitions mainly by farmers and corporate will take place for six days amidst entertainment from artists, corporate exhibitions and government departments.
Once again, the National Economic Consultative Forum and the Zimbabwe Agricultural Society will be co-hosting the 2015 Annual National Agri-Business Conference on August 26 2015 at the Andy Miller Conference Centre.
The conference is expected to come up with a clear set of recommendations on climate change mitigation strategies aimed at improving agricultural productivity in the country.
The Harare Agricultural Show is one of Zimbabwe’s most revered annual events.
Last year, over 750 exhibitors participated in the event which the Zimbabwe Agricultural Society lengthened from six days to 11 days to accommodate those in formal employment who have in the past failed to attend the event because of work commitments. Notably, over 200 small-scale farmers participated compared to 100 farmers the previous year.
