Hurudza Africa a local agriculture technology startup company has launched a farming mobile application dubbed in a bid to improve efficiency in the agriculture business. Hurudza Africa has revealed that the mobile application was developed after the realisation that there was no mobile application that is interactive and that provides all the relevant information to the Zimbabwe farmers. Therefore the purpose of the application is to shape the future of agriculture in Zimbabwe and Africa as a whole by unconventional farming information to create sustainable farming.

The information will enable the smallholder farmer to make right farming decisions in terms of farming the right crops, at the right time, on the right soil and using the right farming methods.

The application uses a step by step approach from the best seed variety that will thrive in the farmers respective regions up to the best market that will ensure profitability and logistical ease to the farmer.

“We were doing a tomato farming project and our tomatoes were affected and we couldn’t find a solution in time and that’s when we thought to ourselves, how about we develop a platform that will help farmers to find all solutions to their farming problems and that’s when we developed an interactive platform such that the farmer will interact with the platform to get all relevant information about their crops.” said Hurudza Africa’s Co founder Tinashe Makina.

The application is available for free download on the Google play store.
