The Sport and Recreation Commission (SRC) has granted permission for the 60th Edition of the Kariba Invitational Tiger Fishing Tournament (KITFT) to go ahead this year under strict Covid-19 regulations.
Slated for October 6 to 8, the premier fishing tournament draws anglers from the region and beyond.
KITFT director Mr Rod Bennett said participants and spectators would need to undergo a PCR Covid-19 antigen test.
Mr Bennett said plans for the three-day extravaganza were progressing well at the traditional Charara Campsite.
“The Kariba Invitation Tiger Fish Tournament 2021 will take place on the 6th, 7th and 8th of October,” said Mr Bennett.
“We have obviously faced many delays with the Covid-19 pandemic but finally we have been given approval to go ahead with the tournament.”
