PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEES SERIES

[21st May 2012]

The Thematic Committee on Peace and Security will hold Public Hearings
in Mashonaland Central and Mashonaland West from 22nd to 24th May
to hear the public’s views
on the impact of ZESA load shedding and billing on wheat farmers

The programme is as follows:

Tuesday 22nd May

11 am          Mvurwi Country Club

2 pm            Glendale Country Club

Wednesday 23rd May

11.30 am    Karoi

Thursday 24th May

10 am          Cooks Hall, Chinhoyi

The public, wheat farmers, interested groups, business persons and organisations are invited to attend the hearings, at which they will be given the opportunity to make representations.  These will be considered by the committee in compiling a report to be tabled in the Senate.

If you want to make oral representations, signify this to the committee clerk before the hearing, if possible, so that he can notify the chairperson to call on you.  An oral submission is more effective if followed up in writing.  If you are making a written submission, it is advisable to take as many copies as possible for circulation at the hearing.
