Commercial Farmers’ Union
Pays Tribute to
Mr Marc Edward Carrie-Wilson
The Commercial Farmers’ Union (CFU) wishes to acknowledge and pay tribute to Marc for his dedicated and outstanding service in representing and promoting the interests of the Commercial Farmers’ Union.
At all times over the past 9 years in your capacity as, initially managing Legal and Labour Affairs until your promotion to Acting Director of the Commercial Farmers’ Union you have represented the farmers with distinction. You have showed yourself to possess an in depth knowledge of all the developments that might affect the Union and the membership that you represented. This was especially in dealing with the dispossessed farmers to guide and mentor them through their problems.
The Commercial Farmers’ Union recognised and appreciated the difficult and sensitive time that you took over as Acting Director yet you handled the task with distinction. Your full understanding of the laws affecting the farmers has certainly been of tremendous assistance to us all in our endeavours.
The Commercial Farmers’ Union also wishes to acknowledge the invaluable contribution you have made in setting the stage for the establishment of the Federation of Agricultural Unions. Your guidance and ability to keep a cool head during the most difficult situations has been a huge asset and highly commendable indeed.
Your contribution and work on the various labour decision making bodies is also thoroughly appreciated.
The Commercial Farmers’ Union therefore wishes to acknowledge and pay tribute to Marc Carrie-Wilson for his dedicated and exemplary services.
Awarded with thanks during the Commercial Farmers’ Union 74th Annual Congress on Wednesday 20th September 2017 at the Winkfield Auditorium, ART Farm, Zimbabwe.
