Date of Commencement: Judicial Service Act [Chapter 7:18] (No. 10 of 2006)
HIS Excellency the President, in terms of section 1(2) of the Judicial Service Act
[Chapter 7:18] (No. 10 of 2006). hereby fixes the date of publication of this statutory
instrument, as the date on which the said Act shall come into operation1.
This statutory instrument was published as a supplement to the
Zimbabwean Government Gazette dated the 18th March 2009.
1 Note by Veritas. Usually, a statutory instrument fixing an Act’s date of commencement spells out
the date, month and year fixed. The formula adopted here is a new idea. As the statutory
instrument was published in the Government Gazette on 18th June, 2010, that is the date of
commencement of the Act.
